Episode 20 Season Finale: Hate to Say Goodbye

The season finale is here and it is pretty exciting. The world is ending (or so they think) and the Red team is ready for the end. Griff decides to die the way that he lived. Not caring and taking a nap.
Church and Tex watch as the world literally tears itself apart. Church says he has to tell her something. Tex says to not say good bye, she can handle everything else he has to say but she cannot handle a good bye. He begins on a montage of deep talk, which I cannot explain in writing, and tells her that he needed to tell her 3 words to make everything better. "You're not going to say I love you are you?" asks Tex. Church replies, "No, I'm not gonna say I love you......I'm gonna say I forget you." Tex disappears and Church is now ready for the world to end, but Caboose has other plans. His face appears in the rift and the Red team mistakes him for God. Sarge now belives that he is the first person that doesn't want to go to heaven, because he is Blue. Then an image of Sarge apears too and the Sarge in the fake world tries to order his real self to attack Caboose and is ignored. They find Church and begin to extract him from the memory unit.
It goes to the Free-Lancer's story briefly to show the ratings chart with Tex now on top, where Carolina used to be. She is clearly upset and looks like she is willing to do anything to get her spot back. While she is looking at the chart the director is informing her that she will be needed for missions that are considered....questionable, and Carolina seems to be only too happy to help out.
They finally got Church out. Caboose is clearly happy to see him and explains, in his own way, how they ended up there. Church is not happy he is out. He was at peace and wanted to remain in the memory unit. He begs to be put back but they say that "she" needs him. Church thought they were talking about Tex, but they said it was the new lady. The door opens to reveal Carolina and she says that they are going to kill the director. And the season ends only to have more questions than answers, and now the long wait for the next season to come out.

Episode 19: Whole lot of Shaking

The end is near!!!!! The bomb is about to go off and kill the Red team. Is this the end for the team that doesn't do anything? I seriously doubt it. As the countdown gets closer to one the team begins to panic. Instead of running away and find cover (which would only be the smart thing to do) they decide to say their last words and wait for the bomb to go off. Doughnut gives his academy acceptance speach, Sarge tells them, in his own way, that it has been an honor serving with them, Griff only regrets not having more regrets, and Simmons tells everyone how he really feels about them. 3-2-1 KABOOM.... or not. Andy the bomb doesn't go off. He is a dud. Now Simmons has to face up everything he said to the team.
Meanwhile at the Blue base, the team is getting ready to evacuate. With their tank now working they load it up get ready to go. Church decides to stay. He believes they can't escape and doesn't feel like trying. He wishes them good luck and tell them to tell Washington "Memory is the key". What does this mean? And what does Washington have to do with any of this. (I can explain a little bit about it. Since this is only a memory of what really happened later on they meet Washington on a mission he helps them with. They deal with the A.I. (artificial intelligence) and he says "memory is the key". This is why Church tells Tex this.)
Tex tells him that she is going and is going to try to fix the problem. They world starts shaking more and they enter the tank and begin to leave.
At Red base Griff is the only one that is optimistic (in his weird way of being the only negative positive person) and says the world won't end because no one is cool enough to see the world end.
The Free-lancers, York and North Dakota, are questioning everything they know. Are they really the good guys? Are they doing what's right? Why the deception, and why bring in Tex? This is what is worring the team.
Tex decides to stay with Church to watch the world end. They walk off and watch as the world ends around them. Chruch begins a heart-filled speach about how he needs to just let go and sometimes the things he lets go comes back on their own. Church's only regret is he never learned how to shoot his sniper rifle. Is this really the end for Red vs Blue? And how will the story continue without its main characters? We will find out next week.

Episode 18: Labor Pains

Can lazyness really get you what you want? For Griff it can. His job is to assemble the bomb that is to be placed into the center of the planet to stop the earthquakes. He gave up on researching how to make the bomb, instead his plan is to have the Blue team make and deliver a bomb for them. How is he going to do that? By taunting them to the point where they bomb the Red teams base. Simmons goes up to check on Griff and finds him yelling things like "Blue team you suck." His plan eventually works like a charm when Tex gets mad and decides to build a bomb.
A talking bomb? This would be a surprise to anyone who hasn't seen the original series. This is Andy the bomb. A talking and very rude bomb. Tex made him out of spare robot parts from Blue base. Afte arguing with Andy they decide to go plant him at the Red base to get rid of Griff.
Back at Red base Sarge is getting everyone ready for the misson to stop the planet. Doughnut has found a perfect spot to drill and Sarge has built the drill (out of nowhere) and they are waiting for the bomb. While they wait Sarge explains how he made the drill. He used spare parts from his excavater, which they didn't see either until it was pointed out.
A shadowy figure sneaks around and plants the bom into the middle of the Red team and Griff now realizes that his "genious" plan has a flaw, the bomb is active and is not meant for destroying the planet.
In the Free-lancers story they have just created a new piece of technology. The director begins by questioning the new technology and asking him his name. At first he is confused and doesn't know where he is. They tell him not to worry and ask him his name again. He replies "my name is Alpha." They tell him he is mistaken and that his real name is Delta. He is very wise and this is his birthday. He is now under the care of the director and he tells Delta that they will do great things together. What does he mean? What could this war crazy man possibly have instore for the wise computer program Delta?

Episode 17: Spiral

For those of you that haven't seen the series and don't know what's going on (that's most of you) Tex and Church and all the teams in blood-gulch are only a memory inside of  a computer program. Church is the memory of alpha (the main computer program in the Free-lancer progarm).
Ahhhhh!!!!! The first time that Church and Tex have had a time to talk. This heartfilled moment is the first time that these 2 lovers have ever connected this way (too bad they're both computer programs in a memory device so it's not a real moment). While Tex is fixing the tank, Church tries to get information from her about her days in trainging and where she came from.
In the Free-lancers story , Maine has just captured the briefcase with the codes for the sarcophogus and York, Maine, and Carolina are leaving in their jeep to the extract point. The security forces have massed their force and are attempting to recapture the stolen briefcase. The forces are split into 2 sections. The jet pack troops and the Pelicans (the flying vehicles) are getting the briefcase. The second section is back up troops in jeepsgoing to reinforce the other men when the brief case is retrieved. The first group drops off their jet pack troops to engage the Free-lancers and recover the briefcase. They have 2 normal jet troops and one sniper. While the troops engage in a mini firefight, the sniper sets up to take out the agents. His first shot goes straight into Maines chest and knocks the big guy out. With the sniper now known about, Carolina takes cover.
Meanwhile Tex takes care of the second group with the help of her motorcycle and her rocket launcher. She is going solo on this mission and is attempting to take the briefcase back to HQ by herself.
With Maine out, Carolina is forced to defend the jeep by herself. The jetpack troops are relentless. They manage to overpower her and take the case. The jets troops and Carolina are flung onto a nearby truck and fight hand to hand (with a few guns) for the case. Maine eventually regains consienceness and manages to get rid of the sniper and joins Carolina in the fight. She kills one but the other trooper uses his pistol and shoots Maine in the throat. He manages to get up and blows the truck up and sends himself and the other troops flying. A trooper grabs the case just as the rest of the forces are coming. He gets on a ship and locks the raod down. Tex and Carolina begin a race to get the case back. Tex uses her motorcycle to take out the ship the troop was in and Carolina uses her speed to chase him down over the roof tops. She eventually catches up to him and knocks the case away from him. She slides down the road and hits a building and is knocked out. When she comes to Tex is standing over the case calling HQ that she aquired it and is heading back. A drop ship comes to pick Carolina up and inside you see the team all beat up and looking like they were just defeated.

Episode 16: Hell's Angel

The episode starts with the guys back in Blood-gulch arguing about....nothing of real importance (nothing new for them). The Blue team is attempting to get Tex to stay with them so Church can complete his mission for saving Tex. Can Church convince her to stay? With the help of Cabooses argumentative skills (and $100) he convinces her to stay to help the team.
While Tex and Caboose attempt to repair their tank, Church walks up to try to talk with her alone but Caboose is making it difficult. While Church is trying to get him to leave, Caboose isn't getting the clue. When asked to leave so church can talk alone he questions how he can talk to anyone when your by yourself.
After Lopez (the robot that was impersonating Simmons) was shot Griff and Simmons are arguing about how the team should've known that the mexican speaking robot was actually an imposter. Griff thinks that because they don't know much about either Simmons or Lopez it was hard to tell the difference between them. Simmons thinks that because Lopez speaks in spanish and Simmons doesn't, they should easily be able to tell the difference between them. This does make sense but of course Griff is too lazy to continue to argue and eventually gives up. When they stop arguing Simmons notices the equipment Lopez was using to measure the seismic activity and continues the research, after acting like a 12 year old saying "It looks like we have a mystery to solve" (quoting Scooby-doo).
Back at Red base the Red team is up tp their old ways with creating ridicolus missions to save the world. After discovering that the planet is "trying to kill them" they create an "ingenious" plan to stop the planet. The plan to "kick the planet's ass" to stop the earthquakes is being led by Doghnut and Griff.
In the other story (the free lancers story) the team has just escaped the building that was blown up and are in route to the evac. point. With half the team either wounded or under fire the team is desperately trying to escape with the package. Maine manages to jump on the targets car and kills him and takes the briefcase with the codes for the sarcophagus. Meanwhile Tex was given a motorcycle and a rocket launcher to try to retrieve the package.

Introduction

Red vs. Blue is a series about the soldiers from Blood-gulch (a map off of Halo 1 and 2). The series is over 150 episodes long composing of 9 seasons, multiple P.S.A.'s (public service announcements), and 3 mini series.  In my blog I am going to begin on epsiode 16 of the newest season. The periodical that I am basing this blog off of is the http://2old2play.com/ online magazine. This site tells about new games and movies based off of games. They tell it in a way that is engaging and makes you feel like your talking to them in person. The web site is not a major site but it is one of the bigger gaming sites. It is meant for the older gamer and may contain content not appropriate for younger people.
